Are you ready for cold weather soaking?

As winter approaches, its good to be prepared for cold weather soaking. In Western North Carolina, the weather can be, and often is, highly unpredictable. Here are some tips for cold weather soaking along with an explanation of how our mineral baths operate to maximize your cold weather soaking experience.

1. Wear a hat

A lot of your body heat is lost through your head. Wearing a hat will help keep your head and ears warm, which can help you fight the cold more easily. Lucky for you, we have a variety of knit hat styles available in our shop.

2. Sink down in the bath

If you sit on the seat in your mineral bath, your upper back and shoulders will be out of the water. Scoot off the seat and sink down until your whole body is submerged.

3. Bring a robe

Having a robe on hand will help keep the cold air off of you while you get into and out of the tub. We also have logoed robes for sale in our shop.

4. Dress for a quick change

Wear clothes that allow you to get into and out of the mineral bath as quickly as possible. Sweat pants and sweat shirts make changing while damp quick and easy.

5. Turn off the jets

Traditional hot tub jets function by mixing air with water to create pressure. In the colder months, this means that the air being introduced will be colder, which can cool your mineral bath down.

6. Book a mineral bath with a heater or fire bowl

We know that winter is chilly and over the years have added heaters and propane fire bowls to certain mineral bath types. Deluxe mineral baths have overhead heaters. Premium mineral baths have propane fire bowls, and Signature mineral baths have both an overhead heater and a propane fire bowl.
